The management of the various fluids is ensured by a pump and twenty solenoid valves controlled by a computer. The electronics control the temperature of the Flow Cells and the control of the reagent tanks and allow automatic switching from one reagent to another.
The reagents follow one another in a defined order and duration for each protocol established and recorded on the software. RNA probes and antibodies can be recycled in a closed loop in their reservoir, while other solutions only pass through the Flow Cell once and are eliminated. The principle of continuous flow has the effect of reducing background noise when obtaining results and reducing the number of probes used.
A step-by-step programming of events is ensured by a software using numerous protocols, recorded and modifiable according to the targeted applications. With just a few clicks, you can easily program many simple or complex experiments and run them autonomously with the Flo 400.
The connected PLC
For a simpler and more user-friendly use of this high-speed PLC, a Wi-Fi network card has been added to the PLC, allowing the user to configure, verify and edit his or her experiences from his or her desktop computer.
In addition, since the software is registered on a server, it is not necessary to install a program on your computer. You can therefore easily change the different computers connected to the device.

FLO400
The Flo400 is a safe, fast and easy-to-use research device that allows 3D samples to be analyzed using the in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry methods. Thanks to this equipment, it is possible to directly visualize the location and activation of genes of the cells concerned. The means used for this localization is in situ hybridization (HIS) of RNA probes (transcriptome analysis). It should be noted that the automaton also allows proteome analysis by immunohistochemistry, using antibodies instead of RNA probes.
